The Shakti Collective :

A WOMEN’S GROUP FOR FOSTERING FRIENDSHIPS, CONNECTION,

AND DEEP MUTUAL SUPPORT

“I’m sick of the party scene, but I don’t know how to connect with people outside of those spaces.”

“I’m in my self-growth era, and I just want friends who care about the same things I’m working on.”

“I am so tired of superficial connections and small talk — I want deep, meaningful friendships.”

____

As a women’s therapist, I would hear some version of this on almost a weekly basis from my clients. Women who were evolving past superficial connections, and craving deeper, more meaningful female friendships. But the question was always “where do I find them?”

I’m excited to say I’ve finally created a container for women to have an opportunity to connect with like-minded people, who share the same values, are doing the same work, and are tired or frustrated with superficial connections.

The Shakti Collective is an 8-week group designed specifically to create a space to begin, build, and sustain meaningful female friendships. Our time together will be spent getting to know one another in ways we rarely do in the outside world — with intentionally guided conversations, structured opportunities to share & listen, and weekly topics that will help you dive deep, both as a group and individually.

This is not a processing group or group therapy — it’s a place to foster authentic connection & conversations, and to get to know women on the same path as you.

The space will be held by your guide, Ferny Barceló, a holistic therapist with over a decade of experience working exclusively with women, with a focus on fostering a value-driven life & relationships.

What to Expect…

1. A Chance for Genuine Connection

We’ll create time for introductions that go DEEP. We’ll won’t just share the usual casual tidbits about ourselves, but have a chance to talk about what we’re actively working on personally, and what we’re seeking out of relationships, friendships, and life.

2. Structured & Guided Conversations

No awkward silences here! All conversations, whether in the big group or small break-out groups, will have a designated structure and topic each week. There will be plenty of prompts to help you break the ice and participate (as much or as little as you want) in our conversations.

3. Time for Introspection

Each week will have a theme that circles around some of the main tenets of Ferny Barcelo’s work with women: inner child work, somatic experiences, guided visualizations, family system explorations, and value-based relationship work.

4. Small Group Time

The larger group will be broken up each week to smaller groups, where we’ll share & discuss that week’s topic in a more intimate setting. Women will be matched up with other women who are on similar paths to better the opportunity for genuine, one-on-one connections.

5. A Safe, Empathetic Container

If you struggle to find a place to be vulnerable or explore tender topics safely, this group will be built just for that. Group dynamics and participants will be vetted and monitored to make sure we’re creating the safest, most supportive space for all.

6. A Long Term, Supportive Community

The ultimate goal of this group is for you to emerge with new friendships that feel meaningful and aligned with who you are and who you want to be! My hope is that this group sets up every woman participating with a new network of support — that will continue way past the end date of our time together.

✺ FAQ’s ✺

  • We will have a WhatsApp group where you can stay informed on the group and connected with your peers, and any content/handouts used will be provided once you come back. Please plan on missing no more than two sessions.

  • We will begin with quick check-in’s from the group, and move on to learn and discuss that week’s topic. From there, we may do small breakout group discussions focused on connecting over that week’s theme. This can include working on journaling prompts, structured conversations, or visualization exercises. We’ll wrap with time for any Q&A’s and discuss next week’s topic.

  • The group size will be capped at twelve total participants. The intention is to keep it intimate and build actual connections and authentic support among your group peers.

  • The group bundle rate can be refunded if the request comes before the registration deadline on Sept. 19th, 2025.

Any individual drop-in rates are non-refundable. All drop-in payments must be submitted before the start of the group sessions.

  • This group is meant to be a progressive learning experience, with each week’s topic building on the last, and opportunities to build stronger bonds as the weeks go on. It is highly recommended you attend all sessions to receive the full benefit of the group. We ask that anyone missing more than two sessions wait for the next cohort to apply.

  • Sept. 25, Oct. 2, Oct. 9, Oct. 16, Oct. 23, Oct. 30, Nov. 6, and Nov. 13

We will meet from 7 - 8:30pm in-person in my office near Westlake, in central Austin.

  • Yes. We can split your bundle rate into two equal payments of $187.50 each, which will need to be paid before the official start date of the group (one half at registration, the second on or before our start date of Sept 11th).

  • The intention behind this is to create a well-rounded group by including a variety of women from all backgrounds and walks of life. It is also to ensure participants joining have similar intentions and goals that align with the group’s purpose.
